Terms and Conditions

By participating in this promotion, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1.         The Promoter is Māngere Town Centre BID Incorporated (“the Promoter”).

2.         The promotion is called “Shop Local, Win Local” and runs as part of Tongan Language Week.

3.         The promotional period is 12:00am Sunday 16 August 2026 to 11:59pm Saturday 22 August 2026 (“the Promotional Period”).

4.         To enter, you must spend $10 or more in a single transaction at a participating business within the Promotional Period. A list of participating businesses is available at mangeretowncentre.nz/shop-local.

5.         Each qualifying purchase entitles the customer to one sticker, redeemable at the store where the purchase was made. Only one sticker may be issued per customer per visit.

6.         Entrants must collect 5 stickers from 5 different participating businesses on a single entry card to enter the prize draw.

7.         Completed entry cards must be deposited in the entry box at Mangere Library by 11:59pm Saturday 22 August 2026 to be valid. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

8.         Valid contact details, including full name, phone number, and email address, must be provided on the entry card for the entry to be valid.

9.         You may enter more than once, provided each entry card carries 5 stickers from 5 different participating businesses. Cards showing more than one sticker from the same business, or fewer than 5 different businesses, are invalid.

10.     The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete, or misdirected entry cards.

11.     The prize draw will be held after the close of the Promotional Period. Winners will be notified by phone and/or email using the details provided on their entry card. If a winner cannot be reached within three working days, the Promoter may draw a new winner without liability to any person.

12.     The promotion is open to New Zealand residents only. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.

13.     By entering, you agree that your contact details may be used by the Promoter to notify you of the draw outcome and will not be used for any other purpose or shared with any third party.

14.     The prize winners agree to allow the Promoter to photograph and film them and use their first name and suburb for marketing and publicity purposes, without compensation.

15.     The prize enables each of the two winners to spend up to $500 in participating Māngere Town Centre shops or businesses within a two-hour period. Each winner will be accompanied throughout by a Māngere Town Centre BID team member, who will pay for all purchases made during the shopping spree on behalf of the winner.

16.     Alcohol and vape products are excluded from the prize and may not be purchased as part of the shopping spree.

17.     The shopping spree will occur at a time and date to be agreed between the Promoter and the prize winner, within a reasonable period following the draw.

18.     Any unspent portion of the $500 prize amount at the conclusion of the two-hour period is forfeited and has no cash value or alternative use.

19.     The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize or the suitability of goods purchased for their intended purpose, and the prize is accepted on an “as is” basis.

20.     The Promoter accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, or injury that may arise in any way from participation in the promotion or the use of the prize.

21.     The Promoter's decision as to prize winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

22.     The Promoter reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions, or to cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion, at any time.

23.     This promotion is intended to promote Māngere Town Centre businesses to members of the public and is closed to committee members, employees, and contractors of the Māngere Town Centre BID and their immediate families. Entries from these persons will be invalid.

24.     Entry into the promotion is deemed confirmation that the entrant has the necessary authority to enter.
