Where Culture, Community and Convenience Meet

Mangere Town Centre is more than a place to shop. It’s the beating heart of South Auckland. For over 50 years, we’ve been serving our community with a vibrant mix of retail, culture and essential services, proudly reflecting the Pacific and Māori spirit that makes Mangere unique.

From humble beginnings in 1971, the centre was designed as a modern town square — a place where locals could connect, gather and thrive. Today, that vision continues. With over 1000 free car parks, a wide range of shops and eateries, and community services all in one place, we’re still your one-stop destination for everything you need, just 30 minutes from Auckland city.

But we’re more than just convenience. Mangere Town Centre is a place of belonging, a turangawaewae, for generations of families. Whether it’s picking up fresh produce at the weekend markets, joining a Zumba class, getting help from the Citizens Advice Bureau or catching up over lunch in the sun, there’s always something happening.

We’re proud to support and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our area, from the nearby stonefields and volcanic cones to the rhythms, colours and crafts that fill our space today. With regular upgrades, vibrant events and a community-first approach, we’re building a future that honours our past while creating new opportunities for all who call Mangere home.
