Māngere‑Ōtāhuhu Local Board
As the elected voice of our region - covering Māngere, Ōtāhuhu, Māngere Bridge, Māngere East and Favona - the Local Board collaborates closely with Māngere Town Centre. They support initiatives that strengthen community, cultural identity, and services. Their work includes funding community events, supporting heritage projects and advocating for improved housing and transport links.
Auckland Council
Auckland Council is a key partner in supporting the growth, safety, and vibrancy of Māngere Town Centre. Through its Business Improvement District (BID) programme and community partnerships, the Council helps ensure our centre remains a welcoming place for residents, visitors, and businesses. Their support enables us to deliver local projects, events, and services that reflect the unique culture and spirit of Māngere. Together, we’re working to create a thriving town centre that strengthens community connections and fosters opportunity for all.
275 Markets
Operating every Saturday from 7am to 2pm in the main carpark area of Māngere Town Centre, 275 Markets contributes to the vibrant energy, culture, and community atmosphere of the town centre each weekend. Guided by its own governance structure, 275 Markets is focused on building a strong and sustainable foundation, with aspirations to further support and contribute to the wider Māngere community as it continues to grow.
Māngere Market Trust
Open every Saturday from 7am to 2pm at Māngere Town Centre on Waddon Place, Māngere Market Trust delivers a vibrant multicultural market experience featuring fresh produce, food, clothing, and goods from across Aotearoa and the Pacific. Operating under the guidance of a community Trust Board, profits from the market are reinvested into local schools, services, and community initiatives that support the growth and development of the people of Māngere.
Auckland Transport
Auckland Transport (AT) plays a vital role in keeping Māngere Town Centre connected and accessible. From managing our public transport services to improving roads, footpaths, and parking, AT helps ensure that people can move safely and easily through our community. Their partnership supports better transport options, stronger links to the wider city, and a town centre that is welcoming for everyone—whether travelling by bus, car, bike, or on foot.
Police Māngere
(Counties Manukau District)
Our local Police team plays a vital role keeping Māngere Town Centre safe and secure. They maintain a visible presence, respond quickly to community concerns, and work closely with centre management on safety events, education, and crime prevention. Residents can access non-emergency support via 105, or ring 111 in emergencies .
Māngere Fire Station
This is a 24/7 crewed station, with multiple career crews working on a shift roster. We respond to a variety of emergencies in our local area. These include:

We also conduct fire prevention and school visits, check smoke alarms in homes and businesses, and offer fire safety advice.
